Samsung and Etihad Salam Partner to Combine Galaxy Devices With Mobile Plans in Saudi Arabia

The agreement
signed at LEAP 2026 sets the stage for flagship Galaxy devices to be offered
with flexible Salam Mobile data and voice plans
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – 2 September 2026 - Samsung
Electronics Saudi Arabia and Etihad Salam Telecom Company (Salam), a leading provider of
telecommunications services and digital infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, have signed a
partnership agreement at LEAP 2026. It creates a framework to bring flagship
Galaxy devices together with flexible data and voice plans for Salam Mobile
subscribers across Saudi Arabia.
The partnership
reflects how people choose and use smartphones today: the device, network and
plan increasingly shape one connected experience. Samsung and Salam Mobile will
develop offers intended to make those choices clearer from the moment a
customer selects a device.
The companies
plan to combine Samsung Galaxy devices with tailored plans from Salam including
voice and data, giving customers an integrated way to choose the technology and
connectivity that suits how they communicate, work and enjoy content on the
move. The experience will connect Salam’s digital services and high-speed
connectivity with Samsung’s Galaxy ecosystem, bringing the device and mobile
plan into one proposition built around everyday use.
Amr
El Dessouky, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Salam said: "At Salam, we
believe that true connectivity goes beyond the network. It is about building an
end-to-end experience that puts the customer at the center. Our partnership
with Samsung is a step toward that vision, bringing together world-class
devices and tailored mobile plans that reflect the way people live, work and
connect in Saudi Arabia today."
For customers,
the value is practical: fewer steps between selecting a smartphone and finding
a suitable plan, with the flexibility to align their data and voice needs with
the device they choose. The agreement was signed during an official ceremony on
the third day of LEAP 2026, attended by representatives from both companies,
marking the start of a commercial collaboration focused on subscriber value in
the Saudi market.
“Technology
creates more value when the device and the mobile service around it work as one
simple experience,” said Roy Chang, President of Samsung Electronics Saudi
Arabia. “That is the opportunity we are pursuing with Salam: bringing Galaxy
devices together with the services customers rely on every day and giving them
choices that better reflect how they connect, work and enjoy content.”
The partnership combines Samsung’s experience in smartphones and the
Galaxy ecosystem with Salam Mobile’s digital-first approach to mobile services
in Saudi Arabia. Details of the eligible devices, plans and availability will
be announced once commercial arrangements are finalized, moving the agreement
from its LEAP signing to practical offers for customers across the Kingdom.
