October, 2026: Kia has unveiled the PV7, the second model in its all-electric Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) lineup, at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover, Germany. The new model strengthens Kia’s presence in the light commercial vehicle segment, delivering more flexible and efficient mobility solutions tailored to the evolving needs of businesses and customers.
Available
in Cargo and Passenger variants, the Kia PV7 combines a spacious interior,
versatile configurations, connected technologies, and advanced electric
performance. Built on Kia’s dedicated E-GMP.S modular PBV platform, the vehicle
features a flat-floor architecture that maximizes interior space and supports a
wide range of configurations for commercial operations and passenger transport.

The PV7’s electric powertrain offers battery options of 71.5 kWh and 96.2 kWh, with output of up to 200 kW and maximum torque of 420 Nm. Its 800-volt electrical architecture enables rapid charging from 10% to 80% in approximately 25 minutes using a 350 kW DC fast charger. The long-range Cargo variant offers an all-electric driving range of more than 460 km under the WLTP testing cycle.

Designed
to meet the needs of logistics, delivery services, and fleet operators, the
Cargo variant provides up to 6.1 cubic meters of load space in the Long
configuration, a low loading floor height of 550 mm, and a maximum payload of
up to 1,165 kg. The Passenger variant combines comfort with flexible seating
arrangements, accommodating up to nine occupants in global markets. Multiple
configurations support a wide range of applications, including shuttle
services, employee transportation, tourism, and family use.
The
PV7’s practical capabilities are complemented by advanced digital solutions,
including the Pleos Connect infotainment system, fleet management, charging and
maintenance services, and over-the-air software updates. Vehicle-to-Load (V2L)
technology further enhances its versatility by enabling the vehicle to power
external devices and equipment. A comprehensive suite of safety and advanced
driver assistance systems also supports safer driving and greater operational
efficiency.
The
PV7’s exterior and interior design reflect Kia’s Opposites United design
philosophy, combining bold proportions with an optimized interior layout and
user-focused details that enhance accessibility, comfort, and everyday
usability. Its modular architecture also enables the development of multiple
configurations and specialized conversions, helping businesses adapt the
vehicle to their specific operational requirements.
Ho
Sung Song, President and CEO of Kia, said: “The PV7 represents the next step in
our journey to deliver mobility solutions tailored to individual needs,
building on the foundations established with the PV5. By combining advanced
hardware, business-focused software, and dedicated PBV services, the PV7 goes
beyond the concept of a conventional vehicle to deliver an integrated business
solution that helps customers enhance productivity, increase flexibility, and
achieve sustainable long-term value.”
Kia
plans to launch the PV7 Cargo and Passenger variants in South Korea and Europe
in the second half of 2027, followed by expansion into additional markets and
the development of a lineup comprising up to 23 configurations to address a
broader range of applications. Kia also plans to introduce the PV9 in 2029 as
part of its broader strategy to expand purpose-built electric mobility
solutions for businesses.
It is worth
noting that Aljabr Trading Company, Kia’s authorized distributor in the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia, offers customers a diverse range of Kia vehicles, complemented
by comprehensive after-sales services, maintenance, and genuine spare parts,
