Huawei
Launches Diverse New Products to Meet Varied User Needs
Since 2021, Huawei has consistently ranked first in China's wrist-worn
device market by shipment volume and has secured the top spot in the global
market multiple times since 2024. This year, the company further strengthened
its leadership with the release of several new products, including the HUAWEI
WATCH GT Runner 2, HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2, and HUAWEI Band 11 Series. These
devices have played a pivotal role in driving shipment growth during the first
quarter.
The HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 is a smart running watch designed for
runners of all levels. It features an advanced 3D floating antenna architecture
and supports dual-band six-system positioning, delivering industry-leading
accuracy in tracking distance, pace, and routes. The watch also introduces the
industry's first dedicated Marathon mode, enabling users to manage races and
plan training strategies with scientific precision. Collaborating with marathon
legend Eliud Kipchoge and his dsm-firmenich Running Team, Huawei incorporated
real-world feedback from elite runners to refine the product's algorithms and
features, ensuring it meets the highest standards of performance.
For golf enthusiasts, the HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2 is a major step
forward. It supports downloading maps of over 17,000 golf courses worldwide. In
Driving Range mode, it tracks key technical data such as backswing range,
backswing and downswing speeds, and swing plane for different clubs. In Course
mode, it provides accurate distance measurements, displays the distance of the
previous shot, and intelligently recommends clubs, catering to the advanced
needs of professional golfers.
The HUAWEI Band 11 Series, designed for comfortable wear and health
monitoring, combines sleek design with cutting-edge functionality. With a body
measuring just 8.99 mm in thickness and weighing only 18 grams, it offers an
ultra-lightweight experience. The Series also features an upgraded screen,
along with comprehensive sleep tracking, detection of 12 emotional states,
support for over 100 workout modes, and convenient health management tools.
Huawei
Safeguards Its Market Landscape with Increased Investment in Health and Fitness
Technology
Huawei's global leadership in wrist-worn device shipments is underpinned
by its relentless investment in health and fitness technology. The company has
established three HUAWEI Health Labs, where cutting-edge technologies are
transformed into innovative wrist-worn device experiences.
Its TruSense system enables accurate, comprehensive, and fast health and
fitness monitoring, allowing Huawei wrist-worn devices to track over 70 health
metrics, including heart rate, SpO2, respiratory rate, blood pressure, as well
as stress and emotional indicators. This represents a shift from
"single-point collection" to "multi-dimensional perception"
in health monitoring.
In the fitness field, Huawei continues to push the boundaries of
innovation. For example, its industry-leading AI-XDR positioning algorithm
ensures precise location tracking even in signal coverage holes, so users can
enjoy uninterrupted route tracking during workouts. Additionally, Huawei
integrates AI algorithms into various health and fitness scenarios, empowering
users to adopt healthier, data-driven lifestyles.
IDC's report highlights a significant shift in the wrist-worn device market, moving from homogeneous
competition to scenario-based competition and user segmentation. Building
differentiated products in specific segments, such as all-featured smart wrist-worn
devices, professional health, professional fitness, and daily health, has
become an industry norm.
Drawing on its long-term technical expertise and strategic product
portfolio in health and fitness, Huawei has built a smart wrist-worn product
lineup that spans professional sports, health management, and daily life. This
product lineup is the cornerstone of its sustained global leadership. Looking
ahead, we believe Huawei will continue to drive innovation, leveraging
technological advancements to deliver even more accurate and proactive health
experiences to users worldwide.
