Al Ain, - The multi-disciplinary Emirati artist Maitha Hamdan, born in Abu Dhabi in 1989, presents her innovative artwork "Breath of Place" at Wahat Al Jimi. This work serves as an embodiment of artistic creativity exploring the relationship between humans and nature.

Maitha Hamdan is known for her extensive practices that encompass performance art, installation, cinema, and writing. "Breath of Place"

The artwork "Breath of Place" listens to the sounds of the date palm grove in Wahat Al Jimi, dominated by a jerra tree that casts a shade of six meters. Light ropes of varying lengths hang from its branches, responding to the movements of visitors. As attendees pass by, the luminosity shifts, as if the tree breathes along with them.

The boundaries between elements around the tree dissolve, blending the body, light, air, and paper into a harmonious rhythm. As evening falls, the ribbons tied to the branches capture light and sway gently with the breeze, emitting soft whispers that create a unique experience for visitors.

The simplicity of the idea and its profound resonance allows visitors to engage with their surroundings, offering them a carefully curated journey through branches and shadows.
