Garmin Opens First Riyadh Store and Launches fēnix 9 Series in Saudi Arabia

Garmin has opened its first retail store in Riyadh at U Walk, operated by AMIT Trading, the official distributor of Garmin products in Saudi Arabia. The opening coincides with the launch of the new fēnix 9 and fēnix 9 Pro multisport smartwatches in the Saudi market.

Designed for athletes, runners, cyclists, endurance enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers, the new fēnix 9 series introduces enhanced performance tracking, training and navigation capabilities, alongside improvements in display technology, battery life, storage capacity and durability.

The fēnix 9 features an AMOLED display that is twice as bright as the previous generation, complemented by a scratch-resistant sapphire lens and leak-proof buttons. It is also rated for diving to depths of up to 40 metres, making it suitable for a wide range of sports and outdoor activities.

The smartwatch introduces the new Garmin Epic feature within Garmin Connect, allowing users to bring together activities recorded over days, weeks or months and transform them into a shareable story incorporating activity data and photos.

The series also features Endurance Zones and Endurance Score Curve, designed to help users monitor the development of their endurance based on fitness levels and training history. Additional capabilities include advanced indoor rowing insights, such as VO2 Max and power curve data, as well as expanded rucking features that allow users to adjust pack weight during an activity.

Navigation has also been enhanced, with built-in routable maps, 50% more memory than the fēnix 8 and browsing speeds up to 30% faster. A new perspective view further enhances the navigation experience. With 64GB of storage, the watch can accommodate additional maps and up to 7,000 songs.

Battery life on the largest model extends to up to 29 days in smartwatch mode. The fēnix 9 is available in three case sizes: 43mm, 47mm and 51mm.

The fēnix 9 Pro takes the series further with premium specifications and is the first fēnix smartwatch to feature a titanium case. Its AMOLED displays reach brightness levels of up to 3,000 nits, enhancing visibility under direct sunlight.

The 51mm model features a 1.5-inch AMOLED display, providing 15% more screen area compared with the fēnix 8 without increasing the overall case size. Selected models are also available with solar charging displays, delivering battery life of up to 57 days. An integrated LED flashlight includes a green-light mode designed to help preserve night vision.

The newly opened Garmin store at U Walk in Riyadh offers a broad portfolio of watches and devices for running, cycling, fitness, golf and outdoor adventures, alongside Garmin’s marine products. The opening strengthens the brand’s presence in the Saudi market and gives customers an opportunity to experience its latest technologies and products firsthand.
