Company has been recognized with three awards at the Gulf Sustainability Awards
2026, recently held in Dubai, in recognition of the company’s continued efforts
to build an integrated approach to environmental, social and governance (ESG)
practices across its business and operations. CATRION received awards for Best
Social Impact, Best Environmental Sustainability, and Employee Wellbeing.
The recognition marks CATRION’s second
consecutive year of success at the Gulf Sustainability Awards. The awards
ceremony was attended by Mr. Mohammed bin Hassan Al-Shuhail, Chief Executive
Officer of CATRION Catering Holding Company, alongside members of the company’s
senior leadership team. CATRION previously secured four awards in the 2025
edition, reflecting the continuity of its approach to embedding ESG practices
at the heart of its operations and evolving sustainability from standalone
initiatives into an integrated framework designed to deliver measurable impact.
This year, CATRION received the Best Social
Impact Award for its integrated “From Waste to Value” strategy, which
incorporates the redistribution of surplus food as a key component of a broader
model combining food security, community empowerment, volunteering and circular
economy principles. The initiative has contributed to providing meals to more
than 5.25 million beneficiaries, alongside SAR 31.75 million invested in social
responsibility initiatives and 50,688 training hours delivered to develop capabilities
and facilitate knowledge transfer.
The company also received the Best
Environmental Sustainability Award for the “CATRION Environmental Stewardship
Framework,” which brings together governance, compliance, climate action,
resource efficiency, waste reduction, circular economy principles and
innovation. Among the results achieved were a 7.9% reduction in emissions and a
3.15% reduction in fuel consumption, in addition to securing environmental
permits across its locations and maintaining a record of zero environmental
violations.
Commenting on the recognition, Eng. Ziad
Al-Harbi, Executive Director of Environment, Social Responsibility and
Governance at CATRION, said: “We are pleased to receive this recognition for
the second consecutive year, reaffirming that sustainability at CATRION is an
integrated operational approach that balances environmental protection,
positive social impact and investment in people, in alignment with the
objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.”
In the Employee Wellbeing category, CATRION
was recognized for its “CATRION 360°” program, a year-round integrated strategy
supporting more than 5,000 employees across four regions through a range of
health, motivational, financial, social and community-focused initiatives.
These include health screenings, workplace ergonomics awareness, blood donation
campaigns, social competitions and exclusive employee offers.

CATRION joined the United Nations Global
Compact in 2024 and published its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance
Report in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards. The
company has also continued to invest in environmental solutions and circular
economy practices as part of its broader sustainability agenda.
