Feras Alshawaf Law Firm, a
leading law firm in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region, has entered into a series
of strategic cooperation agreements with several Gulf and international law
firms. The agreements were signed on Tuesday evening on the sidelines of the
third edition of Riyadh International Disputes Week, organized by the Saudi
Center for Commercial Arbitration.
This collaboration, which aligns with ongoing economic and investment developments at the local, regional, and international levels, aims to establish an integrated professional framework for legal cooperation. The partnership will focus on the exchange of legal expertise and the coordination of efforts to deliver advanced legal services that meet the evolving needs of local, regional, and global markets, particularly in light of the increasing volume of cross-border transactions and disputes.

Mr. Feras bin Abdulmouin Alshawaf,
Managing Director of Feras Al Shawaf Law Firm, expressed his appreciation for
the cooperation with a distinguished group of firms, including Lexis Nexis, Al
Sulaiti Law Firm (Qatar), LGP Middle East, Al Yaqout & Al Fawzan Legal
Group (Kuwait), Kilinc Law & Consulting (Turkey), and Sarkis Law Firm(Syria).
He noted that these firms are internationally recognized for their strong
reputations and extensive experience.
Feras Alshawaf stated that
the cooperation seeks to expand the firm’s international legal network and
enhance its capacity to handle complex, multi-jurisdictional matters. This is
particularly relevant in areas such as foreign investment, international
commercial arbitration, commercial law, energy, major projects, mergers and
acquisitions, and cross-border disputes involving multiple legal systems.
He further emphasized that
this initiative reflects the firm’s commitment to keeping pace with Saudi
Arabia’s legislative and economic transformation, in line with the objectives
of Saudi Vision 2030. As the Kingdom continues to position itself as a regional
and global hub for business and investment, the need for advanced legal
infrastructure and effective international partnerships becomes increasingly
vital. The cooperation also aims to unify best professional practices, elevate
quality and efficiency in legal services, strengthen client confidence, and
provide innovative legal solutions suited to the demands of modern
international business.
For his part, Khalifa Al
Yaqout, Chief Executive Officer of Al Yaqout & Al Fawzan Legal Group in
Kuwait, expressed his pleasure in partnering with Feras Alshawaf Law Firm,
describing it as one of the leading and largest law firms in the Kingdom and
the Gulf region. He highlighted the similarities between the legal systems and
regulations across GCC countries and stressed the importance of working
together to achieve clients’ aspirations throughout the Gulf and globally.
Al Yaqout added that this
cooperation is expected to strengthen the international presence of Gulf law
firms and reinforce their position as trusted legal providers at both regional
and international levels. He also noted that the partnership will support the
expansion of their operations in the Saudi, Gulf, and international markets,
serving the shared interests of all parties involved.
Benjamin Villafaro, Chief
Executive Officer of Lexis Nexis, also expressed his appreciation for the
importance of this cooperation, describing it as a practical model of
integration between law firms operating in different legal environments. He
noted that the partnership creates significant opportunities for the exchange
of comparative legal expertise, joint representation of clients in
international disputes and commercial arbitration, and support for companies
and investors seeking to expand into new markets. He further stated that the
collaboration represents a meaningful addition to the regional legal landscape
and reflects a growing trend toward building cross-border legal alliances
capable of addressing the complexities and legal challenges of the global
economy.
