Lulu Mango Mania: Lulu Hypermarket Brings World’s Finest 100+ Mango Varieties to Saudi Arabia

Lulu Hypermarket has officially kicked off its highly anticipated annual festival, Lulu Mango Mania, across all its branches in Saudi Arabia. Celebrating the rich flavors and incredible diversity of the king of fruits, the festival brings together over 100 unique varieties of mangoes from around the globe under one roof. The mega event will run until May 30.

The grand inauguration of the festival took place at the Riyadh Murabba branch, where H.E. Suhel Ajaz Khan, the Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, along with Ms. Turfah Al-Murairi, Vice President of SIBC, and Mohammed Haris - LuLu Hypermarkets Director KSA officially opened the event. Simultaneously, the celebrations commenced across other major regions in the Kingdom. In Jeddah the event at the Marina Road branch was inaugurated by H.E. Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, the Indian Consul General in Jeddah while parallel inauguration festivities also took place in Al Khobar Lulu Hypermarket.

100+ Mango Varieties from 6 Countries

The highlight of this year's Mango Mania is the curation of rare and mouth-watering mangoes sourced from six different nations including India, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Uganda, Thailand and Vietnam. From India over 50 premium varieties are on display, including Alphonso, Badami, Kesar, Neelam, Sugar Baby, Mallika, Dilpasand, Bangarapalli, Naati, Suvarnarekha, Mayilpeeli, Laddu, Palgova, Apple Gunde, Manjakili, Mayilapoore, Himapasand, and Rumania.The festival prominently features Saudi Arabia’s homegrown varieties like Tommy and Selestation. Other international highlights include Kent, Apple, Tommy, Taka Taka, Dodo from Uganda; Samaka and Kalbathoor from Yemen; Green Sweet, Shithong, Apple and Chakkapath from Thailand; and Sweet Green, Chu Mango Green & Chu Mango Yellow from Vietnam.

Food enthusiasts can indulge in an array of specially curated sweet and savory mango-infused dishes. The menu features unique items ranging from savory Mango Chicken Curry and Mango Fish Curry to refreshing Mango Smoothies. For dessert lovers, the hypermarket has rolled out an exclusive selection of mango puddings, cheesecakes and pastries.
