HONOR Robot Phone Showcases New Possibilities of Mobile Imaging at Cannes Film Festival’s China Night

Featuring strategic technical collaboration with cinematic expert ARRI, HONOR Robot Phone will be officially launched in Q3, 2026

CANNES, France – May 15, 2026 – Global AI device ecosystem company HONOR today demonstrated the future of mobile imaging with its revolutionary Robot Phone at the China Night of the 79th Cannes Film Festival. It also announced that the Robot Phone would be officially launched in Q3 this year.

As the only official imaging partner for the China Night of Cannes Film Festival this year, the Robot Phone showcase marks a new milestone in HONOR’s mission to democratize professional-level imaging, empowering a new generation of creators to tell their stories with new creative possibilities. Guests at the event experienced firsthand how the Robot Phone’s embodied AI can open up new possibilities for visual expression. The innovative device garnered praise from world-renowned filmmakers, actors, and celebrities for its ability to deliver complex, stabilized tracking shots with such a compact and intelligent form factor.

Extending its presence at Cannes, HONOR also collaborated with rising Saudi actor Abdulrahman bin Nafea, who documented his journey at the festival using the HONOR 600 Pro. From red carpet appearances to portraits and behind-the-scenes moments, the device captured his experience as a continuous, real-time visual story, highlighting how mobile technology can seamlessly support authentic creative expression. His participation underscores Cannes’ role as a global stage for emerging talent and reflects HONOR’s human-first approach to innovation — empowering creators with tools that enhance storytelling in natural and meaningful ways.

Notably, the upcoming HONOR Robot Phone will feature the first results of the strategic technical collaboration between HONOR and ARRI, the world-renowned designer and manufacturer of professional camera technology for cinematic storytelling. For more than a century, ARRI has helped shape how cinematic stories are told — from the early days of film to today’s most advanced digital camera systems. A commitment that has been recognized with 20 Scientific and Technical Awards from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
