Al-Qaryan Group Executes Multiple Dismantling and Recycling Projects for Saudi Water Authority
Ali Asiri
Al-Qaryan Group, a
leading Saudi closed joint-stock company specialized in industrial dismantling,
demolition, and circular industries, has commenced a series of projects for the
Saudi Water Authority. The projects involve the dismantling, demolition, and
recycling of water production units at the Shuqaiq System (Phase I), in
addition to multi-effect distillation units located in the cities of Al-Wajh,
Umluj, Al-Lith, and Al-Qunfudhah.
Covering a total
area exceeding 423,000 square meters, the first phase of these projects
includes the complete removal of all structures, equipment, and materials from
the designated sites. All dismantled materials are then transported to
Al-Qaryan Group’s specialized processing facilities and downstream factories,
where they are processed and recycled in accordance with the highest
environmental standards for sorting, classification, and recycling. This
ensures responsible materials recycling and promotes the principles of the
circular economy.
Commenting on the
projects, Eng. Abdulaziz Yahya Almuayyad, CEO of Al-Qaryan Group, expressed that
the Group is proud to be entrusted with the award of these projects spanning a
wide geographical range — from the far north to the far south of the Kingdom
along the Red Sea coast. He emphasized that this reflects the level of
confidence in the Group’s capabilities and its extensive experience in industrial
dismantling and demolition and circular industries. Almuayyad reaffirmed
Al-Qaryan’s commitment to deploying its full technical and human resources to
execute these projects at the highest safety and quality standards to maximize recycling
rates to preserve materials, and to minimize harmful landfilling generating significant
economic value through high local content, and in alignment with the objectives
of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative.
Almuayyad further
highlighted that Al-Qaryan Group, driven by its strategic purpose to contribute
significantly to building a sustainable future, continues to develop and
deliver advanced, integrated solutions in industrial dismantling, demolition,
and recycling. The Group targets and collaborates with large-scale industrial
clients across the Kingdom, with a focus on expanding the recycling industry —
particularly in the metals sector — as a key driver of both economic and
environmental sustainability,
