LuLu Hypermarket Inaugurates the “Saudi Shopping Fiesta” in Celebration of the 96th Saudi National Day

Riyadh: LuLu Hypermarket, one of the
Kingdom’s leading retailers, inaugurated the “Saudi Shopping Fiesta” at its
Atyaf Mall branch in Al Yarmouk, Riyadh, in conjunction with the celebration of
the 96th Saudi National Day. The initiative reflects LuLu’s commitment to
supporting national products and strengthening the presence of locally
manufactured and produced goods. The event was inaugurated by a number of
officials from the Saudi Made and Promotion Sector at the Saudi Export
Development Authority, in the presence of several LuLu Hypermarket officials.
The event showcases more than 3,500
Saudi-made products across a wide range of categories, including groceries,
fresh produce, meat and seafood, bakery products, and ready-to-eat foods,
contributing to strengthening the presence of national products and expanding
their reach among consumers. The event also features a variety of offers and
activities held in celebration of Saudi National Day, including 1,096 free
shopping trolleys, a “Spin & Win” activity, midnight offers, discounts of
up to 70% on fashion, as well as special offers on electronics, toys, fish, and
Saudi fruits, in addition to “Product of the Day” and “Brand of the Week”
offers.
The “Saudi Shopping Fiesta” includes a
dedicated display of food products bearing the “Saudi Made” mark, a Saudi
products wall, live tasting experiences, as well as sections featuring fish,
meat, ready-to-eat foods, and bakery products. It also presents a diverse
selection of Saudi products, dishes and sweets, alongside locally grown fruits
and vegetables.
The event also featured a cake designed as a
model of the Aramco football stadium currently under construction in the
Eastern Province to host matches during the 2034 FIFA World Cup. The cake was
prepared using a number of Saudi products, in a symbolic gesture that reflects
the celebration of national products and highlights their presence throughout
the various aspects of the event.
On this occasion, Faisal Al-Mughlouth,
General Supervisor of the Saudi Made and Promotion Sector at the Saudi Export
Development Authority, praised LuLu Hypermarket’s initiative and its commitment
to highlighting national products. He emphasized the importance of integrating
efforts with the retail sector to strengthen the presence of Saudi products,
expand their reach among consumers and raise awareness of their quality and
diversity, thereby supporting the competitiveness of national products and enhancing
their position in the local market.
For his part, Mohammed Haris, Director of
LuLu Hypermarkets in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said: “The Saudi Shopping
Fiesta embodies our commitment to contributing to the achievement of the
objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. We are proud of our partnerships with local

He emphasized that the organization of the

products, in conjunction with a national occasion that embodies pride in the
Kingdom’s achievements and the growth and development it is witnessing across
