Meet the AlThahabis. A family whose name has opened doors, turned heads and defined wealth in Riyadh for decades, or so they would have you believe. On 01 October, Netflix introduces audiences to the unforgettable family at the heart of new comedy, Crazy Rich Incredibly Broke.

At the head of the family is Sultan (Rashed Al Shamrani), chairman, patriarch, and a man unaccustomed to hearing no. His wife Alanoud (Ghada AlMulla) is a socialite who considers a cheque the only polite way to end a conversation. Their children are equally committed to the family image: Reem (Ida AlKusay), the one with the masterplan. Bandar (Ziyad Alamri) is a world renowned actor, according to Bandar himself and then there’s Lulu (Adwa Bader), the youngest, takes fashion more seriously than anyone in the family takes her, and has the patience of someone who has never once waited for anything.

Set in Riyadh, Crazy Rich Incredibly Broke is a comedy about a family who are extremely good at being rich, and even better at faking it. Designer everything, questionable decisions, and absolute commitment to the performance.
