Free two-day event at Riyadh Park Mall
brought together competitive gaming, digital creativity and interactive
technology, with prizes worth SAR 200,000
Riyadh,
Saudi Arabia – August 19, 2026: HUAWEI AppGallery, in partnership
with Hamat and with the support of event sponsor Hisense, welcomed 8,000 visitors
to AGC Esports Carnival KSA Season 2, held at Riyadh Park Mall on August 14 and
15.
The
free, two-day carnival brought competitive and casual gaming together with
digital art, interactive technology and live entertainment. With a total prize
pool worth SAR 200,000, the event was designed to offer experienced
competitors, casual players, and families, different ways to participate in
Saudi Arabia’s growing gaming community.
AGC Esports Carnival KSA Season 2 is part of
the AppGallery Gamers Cup 2026, a year-round programme that brings competitive
gaming, creativity, and community entertainment to audiences across Saudi
Arabia. The latest edition follows Season 1, held in partnership with Cenomi
Centers at View Mall in Riyadh in May.
For Season 2, AppGallery brought the programme
to Riyadh Park Mall, owned and operated by Hamat, continuing its approach of
working with leading retail and lifestyle destination partners to make gaming
experiences more accessible to communities across the Kingdom.
Visitors competed in and engaged with titles
including a popular battle royale game, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Tarbi3ah Baloot, and
Candy Crush. The main esports arena hosted tournaments throughout the weekend,
giving players the opportunity to test their skills and compete for cash prizes
and premium gaminggear.
Beyond the tournament action, the carnival
offered a broader programme of creative and casual experiences. The GoPaint
digital art competition invited participants to create original artwork using
Huawei tablets and devices, while the Play & Win zone offered visitors the
chance to play mini-games and receive instant rewards. Live DJ performances and
interactive entertainment contributed to an inclusive, family-friendly festival
atmosphere across the two days.
William Hu, Managing Director of Huawei
Consumer Business Group Cloud Service, Middle East and Africa Ecosystem
Development and Operation Center, said:
“Saudi Arabia has a bold vision for the future of gaming, and building a
strong ecosystem requires sustained investment in its people, communities and
partnerships. Through AppGallery, we want to create experiences that give
competitive players, casual gamers, creators and families a place to
participate and connect. AGC Esports Carnival KSA Season 2 reflects our
long-term commitment to working with publishers and partners to make gaming
more accessible while supporting the Kingdom’s ambition to become a leading
global gaming hub.”
Leo
Hu, General Manager at Hisense Saudi Arabia, shared:
"Technology is central to creating more immersive gaming experiences.
Through AGC Esports Carnival KSA Season 2, we’re pleased to bring our latest
RGB technology closer to Saudi Arabia’s growing gaming community.”
The Riyadh Park event marks the second season
of the AppGallery Gamers Cup 2026 in Saudi Arabia, building on the momentum of
the inaugural activation at View Mall. Further activations are planned across Dammam
and Jeddah in 2026, as AppGallery continues to develop a recurring platform for
gamers, creators, publishers, and technology partners.
