Riyadh: In a major step toward championing
local agriculture, LuLu Hypermarket Saudi Arabia has signed a landmark
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Centre for Palms and Dates
(NCPD). Formally executed by Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Mousa, Acting Chief
Executive Officer of the NCPD and Mr. Mohammed Haris, Director of LuLu
Hypermarkets KSA, the partnership integrates premium fresh date products from
agricultural cooperative societies across the Kingdom directly into LuLu's
retail ecosystem.
The initiative aims to support local date
farmers, expand their access to the retail market and promote high-quality
Saudi fresh dates, contributing to the growth and sustainability of the
Kingdom's agricultural sector. The collaboration coincides with the official
rollout of the much-anticipated annual dates festival across all LuLu
hypermarkets in Saudi Arabia, underscoring LuLu's unwavering commitment to
sustainable retail practices and offering shoppers an unmatched selection of
the Kingdom's finest fresh harvest.
