Riyadh, KSA, 19 July 2026 – Abbott, a global healthcare leader, announced the launch of its latest generation of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology, FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus*, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The launch comes at a critical time as Saudi Arabia continues to face one of the world’s highest diabetes prevalence rates, with more than 5 million adults – nearly 1 in 4 – living with the condition[1]. Libre CGM systems help people living with diabetes better understand how different foods, exercise and medications[2] impact their glucose levels in real time, enabling them to make more informed decisions[3] on how they can manage their diabetes on their own terms.

Designed to make glucose monitoring simpler and more user-friendly[4], FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus* empowers individuals to take an active role in living with their condition, increasing confidence[5] and driving better health outcomes[6],[7],[8].

The FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor is Abbott’s smallest sensor to date‡, developed with user’s everyday needs in mind. The sensor is discreet, easy‑to‑apply, and offers an extended wear of up to 15 days — requiring only six sensors every three months — while providing outstanding accuracy[9] with real-time glucose readings sent directly to FreeStyle Libre 3 users’ smartphone app#.

The system is approved for all people with diabetes aged 2 and older, including pregnant women, reinforcing Abbott’s commitment to helping people access the care they need and live healthier, fuller lives.
