For Creators, By Creators: Samsung’s Pro-Grade APV Codec Supported on Galaxy S26 Ultra
Manal Saleh
Samsung Galaxy is the device of choice for creators
of all kinds looking to shoot eye-catching, professional-grade content — and
with Galaxy S26
Ultra, that experience is getting even better.
Samsung developed its Advanced Professional Video
(APV) codec in collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. as an open
standard for professional video creation so the technology could be available
to as many users as possible. It took years of close collaboration between the
two companies to make APV a reality on the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile
Platform for Galaxy[1] chipset
that powers Galaxy S26
Ultra. APV is the latest example of Samsung’s commitment
to put the user experience first by collaborating with other industry leaders.
What is Samsung’s Advanced
Professional Video (APV) Codec on Galaxy S26 Ultra?
Galaxy S26
Ultra is the first Galaxy device to support APV, enabling
higher-quality video files that use your device storage more efficiently. For
anyone who wants pro-level quality without sacrificing the convenience and
portability of shooting video on mobile, APV on Galaxy S26 Ultra is a game changer.
How does APV Work?
While other smartphone codecs prioritize small file
sizes, they are not built for high-quality editing. APV makes for easier
editing and more creative flexibility. Now you can capture video content on
your Galaxy device that behaves like cinematic professional camera footage when
it’s time to edit — maintaining video quality even after repeated edits. Supporting up to 8K resolution at 30 frames per second, APV
uses 10% less storage than other comparable formats while maintaining the same
objective visual quality.
How to Enable APV on Galaxy S26 Ultra
1. Navigate to Camera
> Settings > Video Format > APV
2. Choose preferred APV control APV
HDR or APV Log
3. Select the type of file compression APV
422 HQ (high-quality video) or
APOV 422 LQ
(optimized for storage capacity and limited data rates)
4. Toggle selected shooting mode on or off in Camera

Share on Your Terms with Galaxy S26 Ultra Experience the world’s first smartphone with a built-in privacy display
Manal Saleh
Now you see it, now you don’t. This isn’t some magic trick; you should be in control of what people see on your device. With the industry’s first built-in Privacy Display[1] on Galaxy S26 Ultra, you can decide when you want a clear view from all angles and when you want extra protection from prying eyes.
What is
Privacy Display?
Privacy Display on Galaxy S26 Ultra is a new kind of personal protection built-into the device that allows
you to adjust the visibility of content on your screen. When enabled, visuals
are clear for the user while limiting what others can see when looking at the
screen from the side — perfect when you’re traveling or in other public places.
Unlike aftermarket stick-on privacy screen
covers, the Privacy Display on Galaxy S26 Ultra offers protection without compromising the viewing experience during
everyday use.
How does
Privacy Display work?
Integrated directly into the display hardware,
Privacy Display on Galaxy S26 Ultra controls how the screen’s pixels disperse light, limiting the visibility
from side angles when turned on, while preserving the full display experience
from any direction when it’s off. This hardware-first approach delivers a
clearer and more consistent experience than a traditional privacy screen
protector which permanently reduces brightness and clarity and can degrade
touch responsiveness.
It’s also customizable. You can decide when it
turns on, like when entering sensitive password information, or even limit
visibility for specific types of content like popup notifications — it all
comes down to user choice.
How to Use
Privacy Display on Galaxy S26 Ultra
For step-by-step instructions to turn on
Privacy Display, watch here:

latest Galaxy features, including Privacy Display, on the device you’re holding

Galaxy Buds4 Series Elevates Call Clarity with HD Voice HD voice cuts background noise and captures every word
Manal Saleh
At the
recent Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung Electronics introduced the most advanced Galaxy Buds to date. Galaxy Buds4 Series sound as good as they
feel, with hi-res audio[1] and design innovations
that maximize everyday wearability. The Galaxy Buds4 series redefines the
experience of using premium earbuds — prioritizing quality and comfort.
Galaxy
users can instantly connect Buds4 Pro or Buds4 to the ecosystem of
devices they already enjoy by simply opening the Buds cradle.[2] When paired with the Galaxy S26 series, together they deliver
crisp and clear conversations.
From
juggling work calls to catching up with loved ones, you’ll hear the difference
loud and clear with HD voice.[3]
How
does HD voice work?
The
clarity begins with advanced AI-powered noise reduction. The Galaxy Buds4 series uses multiple
microphones that collect sounds from different directions, along with a Voice
Pick Up Unit (VPU) which helps detect and prioritize users’ voices. Advanced
networks then analyze the sound in real time to separate speech from background
noise such as traffic, wind, or other nearby conversations.
Traditional
Bluetooth calls capture voice frequencies with a limited bandwidth, causing
speech to sound compressed and less natural. HD voice preserves more natural
detail during communications by doubling the Bluetooth bandwidth to 16kHz,
called super wide band. HD voice also uses machine learning
models trained for noise reduction and voice enhancement to enable a wider range
of the human voice to be transmitted.
Wider
Audio Range Brings Out Every Word
This
expanded range helps capture subtle sounds like “s”, “z”, “th”, and “f”, which
help distinguish words that are hard to understand in standard Bluetooth calls.
By preserving these details, conversations are clearer and more natural.
By
combining intelligent noise reduction and expanded Bluetooth bandwidth, HD voice
creates a call experience that feels closer to speaking in person.
Galaxy
Buds are the only Bluetooth earbuds that can support HD voice on Galaxy
smartphones and tablets.
How to
activate HD Voice: Open your Galaxy
Buds, then on your Galaxy Smartphone, go to Settings à Your Galaxy Buds Settings à Sound quality and
effects à Advanced quality options à Super wide band speech
The
Galaxy Ecosystem Difference
While
many earbuds offer clear calls, Galaxy Buds paired with Galaxy devices
are engineered to optimize HD voice performance. From the
moment you make or answer a call, your Galaxy Buds4 series will preserve voice
details while reducing background noise to help ensure every word comes through
naturally.
That’s
the advantage of Galaxy ecosystem integration and end-to-end optimization.
Heard enough? Grab Galaxy Buds4
series and learn about all the latest Galaxy devices on Samsung.com.

The Desert is calling - and AlKhallat+ is answering with its
wildest stories yet. Netflix has released the first look at AlKhallat+: Desert
Rules, the return of one of Saudi Arabia’s most beloved comedy universes, reimagined as a four episode anthology series
premiering exclusively on April 2.
Set against the desert backdrop of Saudi Arabia, the new series
delivers four outrageous stories packed with mischief, bad decisions, and
consequences no one saw coming. The series reunites fan-favorite talent from
previous AlKhallat stories -including Mohammed Aldokhei and Ali Al
Kalthami - alongside a new generation of comedic troublemakers such as Malik
Nejer، Abdullah AlDrees, Feras Almubarki, Mishaal Tamer, and poets Mane'e Ben

voices while pushing the boundaries of offbeat comedy and surreal storytelling.

ClearSkies Helps Saudi Arabia Organizations Move Beyond Human-Dependent, Tool-Heavy Security to Responsible Autonomous SOC
Manal Saleh
• As compliance-driven modernization accelerates across Saudi Arabia, security teams face an urgent operational reality: talent shortages, fragmented tooling, and AI-driven attacks moving faster than human-led response.
To address this gap, many organizations have relied heavily on
advanced threat detection technologies. While these tools have helped reduce
attacker dwell time and limit immediate financial impact, they have also
created a security model that depends on technology rather than mature
operational expertise capable of investigating and responding to complex
threats.
At the same time, security operations teams are overwhelmed by
data. Modern Security Operations Centers process thousands of alerts every day,
forcing analysts to spend significant time investigating false positives and
repetitive incidents instead of focusing on strategic threat analysis.
ClearSkies, the AI native Threat Detection, Investigation, and
Response (TDIR) platform developed by Odyssey Cybersecurity, supports a
transition toward a Responsible Autonomous SOC model. Rather than replacing
human expertise, the approach delegates machine scale tasks such as alert
triage, investigation, and automated response to artificial intelligence,
allowing security professionals to focus on governance, threat hunting, and
high level decision making.
The goal is not “more tools,” but a more
resilient operating model that scales without linear increases in headcount. “In
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which is undergoing rapid, mandate-driven
cybersecurity modernization, technology alone cannot substitute deep
operational expertise. ClearSkies’ Centric AI and Autonomous SOC platform is
designed to close this gap, augmenting human capability with intelligent
automation to detect, investigate, and respond to AI threats in real time. Our
goal is not just to reduce attacker dwell-time, but to empower organizations
with the operational maturity needed to proactively hunt and contain
sophisticated adversaries in an increasingly AI-driven threat landscape.” said
Eleftherios Antoniades, Founder and CTO of ClearSkies.
By embedding explainable,
private AI directly into security operations workflows, ClearSkies™ enables
organizations to operate a highly capable Security Operations Center with fewer
specialized resources. Its Generative AI capabilities automatically transform
raw security data into fully contextualized alert summaries and investigations,
generating detailed analyses that include relevant observations, threat
narratives and recommended actions. By converting complex alert data into
clear, structured insights and decision guidance, ClearSkies significantly
reduces the time analysts spend interpreting alerts and accelerates
investigation workflows, allowing security teams to respond to threats faster
while reducing the burden on scarce cybersecurity talent.
Complementing this
capability, ClearSkies uses Agentic AI to automate core SOC operations,
including alert triage, intelligent alert assignment based on risk score and
analyst expertise, and the validation of investigative hypotheses through
cross-source signal correlation. This automation increases operational
efficiency while ensuring analysts focus only on the most critical and complex
incidents. Human analysts remain firmly in control of decision-making, while AI
enhances precision, speed, and consistency across investigations. This enables
organizations in the Kingdom to move from reactive security operations toward
faster, policy-governed response - while addressing the growing gap between
cyber threats and available security talent.
XXX-END-XXX
About ClearSkies
ClearSkies is an AI-native Threat
Detection, Investigation & Response (TDIR) platform built to help
organizations modernize security operations and evolve toward a responsible
Autonomous SOC model - with humans in control and AI accelerating speed, scale
and decision-making. ClearSkies supports flexible deployment models, data
sovereignty, and analyst-aware automation. It enables organizations to maintain
operational continuity and build cyber resilience without unnecessary
complexity or cost. Born from the front lines of Security Operations,
ClearSkies™ was created after decades of Odyssey Cybersecurity delivering
managed SOC services worldwide. When existing platforms could no longer meet
operational demands, ClearSkies™ was created - grounded in real-world
experience and continuous innovation.

For his part, Mr. Hussein Ismail Al-Junaidi, Chairman of Al Junaidi Real Estate, stated that the collaboration with DXR Real Estate aligns with the company’s strategy of developing distinguished real estate projects and introducing them to the market through partners with strong marketing expertise.
He explained that Ti Villa is one of the company’s key developments in the Emirate of Sharjah, designed to offer an integrated residential experience that combines privacy, comfort, and long-term investment value.
Al-Junaidi added that through this project the company aims to develop a residential community that meets the needs of families and keeps pace with the growth of the UAE’s real estate sector. The project provides several residential and investment advantages, including freehold ownership for all Arab nationalities, which enhances its appeal to a wide range of investors across the region.
Ti Villa is one of the residential developments by Al Junaidi Real Estate in the Emirate of Sharjah. The project is located in Al Raqiba, directly bordering Dubai, giving it a strategic location that combines the tranquility of residential communities in Sharjah with proximity to the key business and lifestyle hubs of Dubai. This allows residents to benefit from convenient access to a wide range of services and facilities in both emirates.
The development also offers easy connectivity to major road networks in the UAE, with direct access to Emirates Road (E611), which links several emirates and facilitates convenient travel across Dubai and Sharjah. The project is located near a number of key destinations, including Masaar development, Victoria International School, and Nesma Central Park — all approximately five minutes away.
Sharjah International Airport, Al Khawaneej area in Dubai, and Siouh Mall can be reached within about ten minutes, while Dubai International Airport is accessible in approximately twenty minutes.
The project features a low-density residential community comprising 62 fully independent villas with ground and first floors, offering residents a high level of privacy. The villas are designed according to a contemporary architectural concept that combines modern design lines with practical interior layouts suited to family living and comfortable residential spaces.
The villas range from three to five bedrooms with varying layouts and sizes. Built-up areas start from approximately 2,787 square feet and exceed 3,600 square feet in some units. Each villa includes spacious living areas, dining spaces, modern kitchens, maid’s rooms, and multiple bathrooms, ensuring a high standard of comfort and privacy for families.
One of the project’s key investment advantages is the freehold ownership available to all Arab nationalities, in addition to a full exemption from service fees. This benefit provides additional long-term investment value for owners by reducing operational costs.
The project also offers a flexible 30/70 payment plan, including 10 percent upon booking and 20 percent in construction-linked installments during the development phase, with the remaining balance payable upon handover, which is expected in the first quarter of 2028.
These advantages reflect Al Junaidi Real Estate’s vision of developing residential communities that combine strategic locations, modern design, and strong investment value, meeting the expectations of both families and investors in the real estate market.

ManageEngine Endpoint Central Advances Towards Autonomous Endpoint Security with EDR and Secure Private Access
Manal Saleh
Company
Unveils the First Natively Built Platform Combining UEM, Endpoint Security (EPP
with EDR), Digital Employee Experience (DEX), and Secure Private Access
●
Introduces
AI-powered endpoint threat detection and automated remediation
●
Enforces
Zero Trust access to intranet applications through device trust verification
●
Free
trial available at https://mnge.it/EDR
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - 18 March 2026 — ManageEngine, a division of Zoho Corporation and a leading provider of
enterprise IT management solutions, today announced the expansion of its
unified endpoint management and security (UEMS) platform, Endpoint
Central, to include endpoint detection and
response (EDR) and secure private access capabilities. The additions bolster
Endpoint Central’s endpoint security capabilities by enabling AI-powered threat
detection, automated remediation, and Zero Trust access to internal
applications through device trust verification.
As enterprises manage increasingly
distributed workforces and device fleets, endpoints have emerged as both the
operational hub of IT and the primary attack surface. Many organizations still
rely on fragmented tools for endpoint management, threat protection, and remote
access, creating operational complexity and security gaps. Meanwhile, attackers
are using AI-assisted techniques to scale increasingly sophisticated threats
such as ransomware. Traditional VPN-based access models further expand risk by
granting broad network connectivity after authentication. As a result,
enterprises are beginning to shift toward integrated, unified, AI-powered
platforms that consolidate endpoint management, security, and Zero Trust access
to reduce complexity and strengthen endpoint resilience.
“Endpoint security has become a speed
problem: enterprises need to detect and contain threats earlier while enforcing
Zero Trust access to internal applications when credentials are compromised,”
said Chirag Mehta, vice president and principal analyst at Constellation
Research. “Bringing EDR together with device-trust-based access controls helps
shrink attacker dwell time and reduce the blast radius from endpoint-driven
incidents.”
By integrating EDR and Secure Private
Access into Endpoint
Central, ManageEngine unifies threat detection, response, and secure access
enforcement on a single natively-built platform, enabling IT and security teams
to operate from a shared layer of endpoint intelligence. Unified telemetry
accelerates cross-domain detection and investigation while enabling remediation
actions such as patching and configuration hardening directly through endpoint
management workflows. Built on a single
lightweight agent and a centralized console, Endpoint Central streamlines
access control, incident response, and device management.
“As enterprise environments become more
distributed, the endpoint has become the enforcement point for both threat
detection and access control,” said Mathivanan Venkatachalam, vice president at
ManageEngine. “With these capabilities, we’re helping organizations shift from
reactive security to autonomous resilience—enabling earlier threat detection
and faster remediation while ensuring only trusted devices access critical
resources.”
Key Capabilities
The new capabilities extend Endpoint Central’s coverage as
a unified endpoint management and security platform with advanced detection,
response, and secure access controls.
●
Deep endpoint visibility & attack chain
investigation: Correlates enriched
endpoint telemetry across processes, files, registry, and network activity,
maps behaviors to MITRE ATT&CK techniques, and provides clear visibility
into attacker movement to accelerate investigations.
●
AI-driven threat detection: Leverages behavioral analytics and AI to detect
sophisticated and evasive threats, including file-less malware and
living-off-the-land techniques, enabling early mitigation and reducing
potential business impact.
●
Unified response, ransomware rollback &
patch-driven remediation: Enables security
teams to isolate compromised devices, terminate malicious processes, restore
ransomware-encrypted files, and deploy patches from a single console to
remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen endpoint resilience.
●
AI-guided investigation: Surfaces relevant telemetry and attack patterns to assist
analysts during threat hunting, reducing the learning curve and accelerating
threat analysis
●
Context-aware private access: Enables secure access to internal applications using
identity-aware policies for every access request.
Endpoint
Central continues to receive strong validation from industry analysts and
independent testing organizations. Its malware protection capabilities have
earned AV-Comparatives’
Approved Business Product certification,
demonstrating minimal system performance impact and the second lowest resource
footprint among evaluated solutions. ManageEngine was also named a Challenger in the 2026 Gartner® Magic
Quadrant™ for Endpoint Management Tools, a Leader in the IDC MarketScape:
Worldwide Unified Endpoint Management Software 2025–2026 Vendor Assessment, and
the only vendor recognized as Customers’ Choice in the 2025 Gartner Peer
Insights™ Voice of the Customer for Endpoint Management Tools.

7 square light zones, each square precisely controlled for pure, uniform
illumination up to 3500 nits, 40% brighter than the Glyph
Interface on Phone (3a). Leveraging three patented technologies, including
dual-colour injection-moulded lampshades, the design ensures zero light
leakage, no yellow edges, and smooth diffusion, keeping notifications clear
even in bright sunlight. The Glyph Bar can also double as a gentle fill light
for photos or videos. Smarter notifications come to life with progress-based
cues for calls, messages, charging, timers, and more. Custom light sequences
for contacts and notifications, paired with Nothing’s signature sounds, turn
essential alerts into expressive, playful patterns—all while reducing screen

A Flagship Display
The
Nothing Phone (4a) features a 6.78" AMOLED display with 1.5K
resolution (1224 × 2720) and 440 PPI, delivering exceptional detail across
every inch. With peak brightness of 4500 nits (HDR) and 1600 nits (HMB),
content remains clear even under direct sunlight, while Ultra HDR photos and
videos shine with brilliant highlights and deep AMOLED blacks. A 120 Hz
adaptive refresh rate and 2500 Hz touch sampling ensure smooth
interactions and instant responsiveness, while 2160 Hz PWM dimming reduces
eye strain. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, twice as
scratch-resistant as previous-generation cover glass, and survives a 1-meter
drop, letting users place the phone face down without worry and fully enjoy the
transparent design and Glyph Bar.

the previous Phone (2a) Series. Advanced battery health management ensures over
90% capacity retention after 1,200 charge cycles, equivalent to more
than three years of daily charging.

Nothing device. 30 components use recycled materials, including 30%
recycled plastic, 100% recycled aluminium and tin, and 80% recycled steel. Over

HONOR Magic8 Pro vs Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Two Flagships, Two Philosophies
Manal Saleh
(Riyadh,
KSA – 16.03.2026) Smartphones
today are more than devices they are daily companions, creative tools, and
productivity hubs. With the HONOR Magic8 Pro launching in December 2025 and the
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra arriving in February 2026, both brands continue to
push the flagship category forward.
Despite
packing powerful hardware, both devices maintain a refined in-hand feel,
weighing 219g for the HONOR Magic8 Pro and 214g for the Samsung Galaxy S26
Ultra, reinforcing the balance between premium performance and everyday
usability.
Today, what
truly differentiates a flagship device is how it fits into everyday life. How
it performs under bright desert sun or a low-lit night wedding, how long it
lasts during back-to-back meetings, how quickly it recovers when the battery
runs low, and how faithfully it captures the moments that matter.
Together,
the two devices present distinct interpretations of what a top-tier smartphone
should be.
Both are
powerful. Both are refined. But they approach the flagship experience
differently.
Display
Presence
Both
phones offer expansive, immersive screens.
- HONOR Magic8 Pro: 6.71-inch display, up to 6000
nits peak brightness
- Samsung S26 Ultra: 6.9-inch QHD+ display (3120 ×
1440), 2600 nits brightness
The
Samsung S26 Ultra features a slightly larger panel with high resolution,
delivering the cinematic viewing experience Samsung’s Ultra series is known
for.
The HONOR
Magic8 Pro, however, stands out in brightness performance. With peak brightness
reaching up to 6000 nits, the display is designed to remain clearly visible
even under strong sunlight, a practical advantage in GCC markets where outdoor
use is common. Whether navigating maps, reviewing photos, or recording video
outside, higher brightness levels help maintain clarity and reduce glare.
Both
displays deliver a premium viewing experience, but they prioritize different
strengths: Samsung emphasizes screen size and resolution, while HONOR focuses
on brightness and outdoor visibility.
Performance
and Processing Power
Both
devices are powered by:
- Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5
platform
The
chipset places them among the most capable smartphones currently available and delivers
strong performance across everyday tasks from multitasking and gaming to
AI-driven features, photography processing, and demanding applications. Built
to handle high workloads efficiently, it ensures fast responsiveness and smooth
system performance across different usage scenarios. Whether switching between
apps, editing photos, or running graphics-intensive games, users can expect
fluid performance and reliable speed throughout the day.
Camera
Systems: A Camera Is Not Just Hardware
Flagship
smartphones are often judged by their cameras, and both devices bring
impressive systems to the table.
The
Front Camera Advantage
·
HONOR Magic8 Pro: 50MP front camera
- Samsung S26 Ultra: 12MP front camera
For a
generation that lives on video calls, social platforms, and content creation,
the front camera matters more than ever.
The HONOR integrates
a high-resolution 50MP front camera, designed to capture finer facial detail
while maintaining balanced exposure and natural skin tones. The additional
resolution offers flexibility when cropping images or recording content, while
helping preserve clarity across different lighting conditions.
Samsung’s
12MP front camera remains reliable and consistent, delivering natural-looking
results and dependable HDR performance for everyday use.
In
practical terms, both cameras perform well across common scenarios. The
difference lies in resolution and flexibility with the HONOR Magic8 Pro
offering greater detail capture and framing freedom for users who spend as much
time creating content as they do consume it.
The
Rear Camera Advantage
For users
capturing everything from sweeping skylines to distant architectural details,
the rear camera system ultimately defines the flagship experience.
The HONOR
Magic8 Pro centers its imaging system around a large 1/1.3-inch primary sensor,
paired with a high-resolution 200MP telephoto and ultra-wide lens. Both the
main and telephoto cameras feature CIPA 6.5-rated optical image stabilization,
a standardized benchmark that indicates strong stabilization performance
particularly useful when shooting handheld at higher zoom levels or in
low-light environments. This helps maintain clarity, control motion blur, and
preserve fine detail even when conditions are less than ideal.
Beyond
stabilization, the HONOR Magic8 Pro’s larger sensor design focuses on light
intake, tonal consistency, and depth accuracy. Highlights roll off smoothly,
colors remain natural, and textures are preserved without aggressive
sharpening.
The
Samsung S26 Ultra, meanwhile, takes a different approach with its quad-camera
configuration, built around a 200MP main sensor supported by multiple telephoto
lenses. This setup provides strong focal versatility, allowing users to
transition easily between wide perspectives and long-distance zoom.
In bright
conditions, Samsung S26 Ultra images often appear bold and expressive, with
vivid contrast and saturated color. HONOR Magic8 Pro’s interpretation tends to
feel more measured maintaining balanced exposure and natural tones while
preserving structural detail.
At higher
zoom levels, both devices demonstrate impressive reach. The distinction emerges
in rendering: Samsung S26 Ultra emphasizes framing flexibility and visual
punch, while HONOR Magic8 Pro combines its high-resolution telephoto lens with CIPA
6.5 stabilization to maintain composure, clarity, and reduced noise as
magnification increases.
The two
systems reflect different approaches to photography. Samsung S26 Ultra
emphasizes versatility and bold visual output, while HONOR Magic8 Pro focuses
on sensor depth, strong stabilization, and balanced image processing to
preserve detail across different shooting conditions.
Battery
& Charging: Endurance as a Daily Differentiator
Battery
life is often the most practical measure of how reliable a smartphone is
throughout the day. Here, the difference between the two devices becomes clear.
The HONOR
Magic8 Pro’s larger battery provides a greater energy reserve, supporting
extended use across demanding scenarios such as long video sessions and gaming
to full days of work, navigation, and content creation. For heavy users, this
added capacity can translate into fewer charging interruptions and greater
confidence throughout the day.
The
Samsung S26 Ultra’s 5000mAh battery remains consistent with many flagship
devices and is designed to comfortably support typical daily usage.
Charging
speeds further separate the experience.
Samsung
delivers dependable charging performance suited for everyday use. The HONOR
Magic8 Pro, however, pairs its higher capacity battery with significantly
faster wired and wireless charging technology, allowing the device to regain
meaningful power in a shorter time.
Samsung S26
Ultra focuses on steady charging reliability, while HONOR Magic8 Pro focuses on
reducing downtime and keeping users powered throughout the day.
Connectivity
and Future-Readiness
The
Samsung S26 Ultra supports the latest connectivity standards, including 5G,
Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4, enabling fast data speeds, seamless device pairing,
and reliable network performance for everyday use.
The HONOR
Magic8 Pro matches these next-generation capabilities while positioning
connectivity within a broader ecosystem experience. Designed as part of HONOR’s
evolving AI device ecosystem, the HONOR Magic8 Pro supports high-speed 5G
connectivity, advanced wireless standards, and intelligent cross-device
collaboration that allows smartphones, tablets, wearables, and laptops to work
together more seamlessly.
Here, both
devices demonstrate forward-facing readiness from high bandwidth streaming and
cloud gaming to increasingly integrated digital lifestyles. Where the
difference emerges is in ecosystem philosophy with HONOR extending those
capabilities into a more integrated, multi-device experience designed to move
fluidly across work, entertainment, and everyday life.
Durability
and Protection
Durability
is another area where flagship smartphones are expected to perform reliably,
particularly for users who rely on their devices throughout demanding daily
environments.
Both
devices offer IP68-rated protection, meaning they are resistant to dust and
capable of withstanding submersion in water under controlled conditions, a
standard expected in premium smartphones today.
The HONOR
Magic8 Pro, however, goes a step further by supporting IP69 and IP69K ratings,
indicating additional resistance to high-pressure and high-temperature water
exposure. While most users may not encounter these conditions daily, the added protection
offer an extra layer of durability confidence.
Pricing Perspective
·
HONOR Magic8 Pro: SAR 4,199 (12GB + 512GB)
- Samsung S26 Ultra: SAR 6,299
(12GB + 512GB)
Pricing
inevitably shapes the flagship conversation. While both devices sit firmly
within the premium category, their positioning reflects two different
approaches to value.
The
Samsung S26 Ultra enters the market at a higher price tier, reinforcing its
long-established Ultra branding and premium heritage. The HONOR Magic8 Pro,
meanwhile, delivers a comparable flagship experience at a noticeably more
accessible price point, combining high-end hardware, advanced camera
capabilities, and next-generation connectivity.
For some
users, brand familiarity and legacy will naturally justify the higher
investment. For others, the conversation increasingly shifts toward overall
value where performance, features, and long-term usability are weighed against
price.
Viewed
through that lens, the HONOR Magic8 Pro presents a compelling proposition:
flagship innovation and premium capability delivered with a stronger
specification-to-value balance.
Final
Reflection
Both the
HONOR Magic8 Pro and Samsung S26 Ultra represent mature interpretations of what
a flagship smartphone should be.
The
Samsung S26 Ultra builds on a legacy of expansive displays, versatile zoom
hardware, and bold visual output.
The HONOR
Magic8 Pro approaches the category differently emphasizing low-light
leadership, extended battery life, rapid charging, front-camera resolution, and
consistent tonal balance in imaging.
The choice
becomes less about which phone is “better,” and more about which philosophy
aligns with the user behind the screen.
About HONOR
HONOR is a global leading AI device ecosystem company. It is committed
to revolutionizing human-to-device interactions to bridge the AI ecosystem with
all consumers in the agentic AI era and beyond. The company endeavors to open
industrial boundaries through open, seamless collaboration to co-create a

LG WASHTOWER REDEFINES LAUNDRY DAY FOR SAUDI FAMILIES WITH INTELLIGENT, ALL-IN-ONE CARE
Manal Saleh
LG's innovative WashTower combines
AI-powered washing and drying in one space-saving unit, giving busy Saudi
families more time for the moments that matter most.
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, March 15, 2026 – For Saudi
families, laundry is rarely a simple task. Larger households, a preference for
freshly laundered clothes, and busy schedules make laundry day a frequent,
time-consuming chore. LG Electronics (LG) is addressing this challenge by
launching the LG WashTower™, an advanced washer-dryer combo tailored for the
modern Saudi household.
The WashTower represents a complete reimagining of laundry
appliances. By incorporating advanced AI features, energy-efficient
engineering, and a user-focused design, LG has developed a product that
performs diligently and quietly for families, combining efficiency with
thoroughness.
Space is a valuable asset in any home. The WashTower’s
vertically stacked washer-dryer design with a central control panel
consolidates the entire laundry cycle into a sleek, compact footprint, freeing
up space in the utility room or laundry area without sacrificing capacity or
performance. A single centralized panel controls both appliances, reducing
complexity and giving households full control over their laundry routine at a
glance.
Intelligence, at your fingertips
The WashTower features LG’s latest laundry technology. AI
Wash automatically identifies fabric type and load size, then adjusts water,
wash duration, and motion patterns to suit the clothes. This cycle adapts to
the garments, ensuring a thorough yet gentle clean that helps preserve fabrics
over time.
AI Dry extends this intelligence to the drying cycle,
assessing the load and adjusting heat and duration in real time to prevent
over-drying, a common cause of fabric damage and color fading. Clothes emerge
fresh, soft, and ready to wear every time.
For quick-turnaround needs, TurboWash360™ provides a fast,
comprehensive clean in less than 30 minutes, using multi-directional water jets
to thoroughly saturate and clean each item in the load. Whether it’s a school
uniform for the morning or family thobes before Friday prayers, the WashTower
ensures that laundry urgency remains stress-free.
Jungho (Sunny) Kim, Managing Director of LG Electronics
Saudi Arabia, stated, “Saudi families have busy, active lives, and their
home appliances should help rather than hinder. The WashTower was created
precisely with this in mind, providing the smart features, efficiency, and
dependability that today’s households require, allowing them to focus on what
matters most: spending quality time with family.”
Smart connectivity for a seamlessly managed home
Via LG’s ThinQ™ app, the WashTower connects directly to a
smartphone, allowing families to start, pause, or schedule laundry cycles
remotely from anywhere. Smart Pairing automatically selects the most compatible
wash-and-dry cycle combination, eliminating guesswork and ensuring optimal
fabric care every time.
The WashTower’s Inverter Direct Drive motor runs quietly and
vibration-free, allowing laundry to be done at any time without disturbing the
household. Quiet operation is a practical feature for homes with children or
during late-night Ramadan hours, enhancing daily life.
Efficiency that makes sense for Saudi homes
Beyond just performance, the WashTower represents LG’s
dedication to sustainable living. Its energy-efficient design aims to minimize
power consumption while maintaining high-quality results, a vital consideration
amid growing environmental concerns and rising household expenses. Throughout
every cycle, the WashTower is engineered to deliver reliable, excellent
performance while responsibly using resources.

Dhahran Mall Strengthens Community Connections During Ramadan Through Cultural, Spiritual, and Charitable Initiatives
Manal Saleh
Under its
Ramadan theme ‘Where Hearts Gather’ the mall brought together local
organisations, families, and causes across a programme spanning a historic
spiritual milestone, heritage celebrations, and charitable giving.
This Ramadan,
Dhahran Mall built its seasonal programme around a conviction that has shaped
the mall for nearly two decades: that its role extends into the social,
cultural, and spiritual fabric of the Eastern Province community it serves.
Under its theme ‘Where Hearts Gather / هنا تجتمع القلوب,’ every activation this
season was grounded in that relationship.
One of the
season’s initiative came through a partnership with the Qur’an Eastern Region organization
(جمعية تحفيظ الشرقية). In what is believed to be the first time a mall in the
Kingdom has hosted an Athan broadcast featuring the voices of the organization’s
own students, Dhahran Mall offered its shared public space as a platform for
young reciters drawn directly from the local community. The initiative
reflected a strategic choice: to place spiritual authenticity at the centre of
the mall experience during the holiest month of the year, and to elevate
community institutions within a space that thousands of families cross every
day. For visitors, the experience created a moment of collective stillness and
shared reverence.
“For nearly two decades, the community of the Eastern
Province has been at the heart of everything we do at Dhahran Mall. This
Ramadan, we asked ourselves how we could go further than providing a space for
celebration and instead participate in the values of the month itself.
Partnering with the Qur’an Memorization Association, honouring Girgian and our
national heritage – each of these reflected the same commitment to the people
who have made this mall their own. We are grateful to every organisation, family,
and visitor who gave this season its meaning,” said Majed Algothmi, Acting CEO of
RED.
Cultural
connection shaped the rest of the programme with the same deliberate care. Over
two days, the mall honoured the beloved Gulf tradition of Girgian with live
band performances and candy distribution for children, before partnering with
the Mustang Club on the second day for a Girgian-themed vehicle showcase at
Gate 5. The collaboration brought local car culture and regional heritage
together in a way that was both distinctive and organic, drawing families and
enthusiasts across two generations. A dedicated Saudi Founding Day activation
offered visitors, particularly younger generations, an informative and engaging
exploration of the Kingdom’s founding history, reflecting the mall’s role in
strengthening cultural and national identity within its community.
The program also included
a charitable initiative developed with Benaa Association for Orphans, through
which the mall team prepared and donated 100 Ramadan food baskets for families
across the Eastern Province. The effort reflected the spirit of generosity that
defines the holy month, extending the season’s impact beyond the mall and into
the wider community.
On-ground
visitor surveys ran continuously, keeping community feedback as an active input
into the experience. Across digital platforms, the season generated genuine
audience engagement through a local runner named AbdulAziz Fahd who goes by
za4i on Instagram, completed a 16 km route inside the mall as part of his
personal Ramadan challenge, alongside influencer activations during the Girgian
celebrations.
As Ramadan
1446H draws to a close, the programme stands as a reflection of what Dhahran
Mall has consistently chosen to be across nearly two decades: a destination
that measures the success of a season by the depth of its community
connections, and the lasting quality of the moments it helped create.
ABOUT DHAHRAN MALL
Dhahran Mall
has served the families of the Eastern Province for nearly twenty years,
establishing itself as the region’s most trusted community destination. With a
diverse mix of retail, dining, and entertainment, the mall is currently
undergoing “Tajdeed”, a comprehensive refresh programme that strengthens its
offer for the next generation of visitors.

The End of the ‘Shoulder-Surfer’: How the Latest Mobile Innovation is Reclaiming Personal Space in Riyadh Busiest Metros and cafe shops
Manal Saleh
From the bustling
cafes of Riyadh to the morning commute on the metro, the "unspoken"
struggle of the smartphone era has always been the wandering eye of a neighbor.
While mobile security has long focused on hackers in distant basements, the
most common threat is often the person sitting right next to you.
The arrival of the
Galaxy S26 marks a turning point with its Privacy Display technology.
Unlike the dim, blurry plastic screen protectors of the past, this innovation
is baked into the pixel-level design of the hardware itself. For the MENA user,
this means crystal-clear clarity when looking at the phone head-on, while
appearing as a complete blackout to anyone viewing from an angle. It’s a
seamless blend of premium display quality and total invisibility, ensuring that
personal chats and bank balances stay exactly that personal.

Pixel-Perfect Privacy: The Engineering Breakthrough That Solved the Smartphone’s Oldest Trade-Off
Manal Saleh
For years, smartphone users faced a frustrating choice:
enjoy a brilliant, high-resolution screen or apply a privacy filter that made
the display look dull and grainy. That compromise has officially ended.
The engineering behind the Galaxy S26’s Privacy Display
utilizes a revolutionary pixel-level architecture. By controlling light
directionality at the source, the device maintains its flagship-grade
brightness and color accuracy for the user, while obstructing the view from
every other angle. This isn't just an "extra layer"; it is a
fundamental reimagining of how light leaves a screen. As MENA continues to
position itself as a global tech hub, this level of innovation reinforces why
local consumers are increasingly demanding hardware that thinks as much about
their discretion as it does about their entertainment.

Beyond the Password: Why the Saudi Business Elite is Turning to ‘Invisible’ Hardware for Data Security
Manal Saleh
In a region that
leads the world in digital transformation, the mobile phone has become the
primary office for executives and entrepreneurs. However, as work goes mobile,
"visual hacking" has become a growing concern for high-stakes
professionals.
The Galaxy S26 is
setting a new industry benchmark by moving security from software into the very
fabric of the screen. Its Customizable Privacy Activation allows users
to set specific triggers such as opening a banking app or a corporate email
client which automatically engages the Privacy Display. This flexibility
ensures that while you’re presenting a video to a colleague, the screen remains
vibrant, but the moment you sign into a sensitive portal, the
"shutter" comes down for everyone but you. It is a sophisticated,
hardware-led solution for a region that refuses to compromise on security.
