Huawei Cloud in Partnership with Tuwaiq Academy empowering Saudi Arabia’s Talent in Digital Transformation

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 1 September 2025: Huawei Cloud, in partnership with Tuwaiq Academy, has concluded a five-day executive training programme designed to equip leaders across government and industry with essential knowledge in cloud technologies. The initiative reflects both organisations’ commitment to accelerate the advancement of Saudi Arabia’s national talent development.

Held from 24 to 28 August, the Huawei Cloud Technology Essentials Executive Program introduced senior decision-makers to the fundamentals of cloud computing and its role in enabling innovation and strategic growth. The training covered key areas including compute, storage, networking, security, and database services, as well as cloud-native transformation, alongside practical workshops and case studies to support informed decision-making.

The programme builds on a MoU signed in February 2025 between Huawei and Tuwaiq Academy to collaborate on cultivating local expertise in cloud computing, AI, and big data. It also aligns with Huawei’s broader talent development initiatives in the Kingdom, such as the Huawei Skills Development Center, which aims to train 25,000 local talents by 2030, and the T.H.E. GOLD Talent programme, which is designed in collaboration with the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE) to strengthen digital intelligence capabilities across the Middle East and Central Asia.

Saudi Arabia has placed talent development at the heart of its digital transformation journey. The collaboration between Huawei Cloud and Tuwaiq Academy contributes to this vision by empowering leaders with the skills needed to harness cloud technologies effectively.
