In close collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, HONOR has reimagined mobile photography on the HONOR Magic V5. The AI Falcon Camera System, powered by Qualcomm Technologies’ flexible imaging architecture and Qualcomm Spectra™ ISP hardware, combines computational photography with HONOR’s proprietary AI algorithms, along with the Qualcomm® Hexagon™ NPU technology and a powerful visual analysis engine to deliver real-time scene perception, motion recognition, improved autofocus, and enhanced shutter response – resulting in stunning visuals.

Key highlights include:

·        A 64MP Ultra Sensing Periscope Telephoto Camera with 3X Optical Zoom and 100X Digital Zoom for capturing distant subjects with remarkable clarity. Collaboration efforts involved meticulous fine-tuning of imaging processing pipelines and module enhancements, so that even long-range zoomed shots are clear and sharp.

·        A 50MP Ultra Light Sensitive Falcon Main Camera optimized for low-light scenarios, delivering professional-grade photos even in challenging conditions.

The multi-core Hexagon NPU and powerful triple AI-ISP synergize with HONOR’s AI algorithms to significantly boost on-device AI processing efficiency, enabling the Magic V5 to deploy large AI models for telephoto, night scene, and portrait photography directly on the device, resulting in enhanced imaging performance.

Redefining Productivity and Multitasking with AI

At the heart of the HONOR Magic V5 is an ecosystem of AI-driven features designed to empower users in their daily lives. Harnessing the power of the Hexagon NPU and HONOR’s AI algorithms, the device delivers enhanced experiences in real-time AI Call Translation and instant message composing with the on-device Nano2 model. A 38% increase in inference speed and a 16%[1] improvement in translation accuracy, while saving up to 75%[2] of mobile storage, ensuring both efficiency and privacy by processing data locally. These breakthroughs have also been recognized by Interspeech, the world's largest and most comprehensive conference on the science and technology of spoken language processing.

The HONOR Magic V5 also integrates Google Gemini[3], a personal AI assistant pre-installed on the device that utilizes the power of the Hexagon NPU. With intuitive multitasking supported by HONOR’s Multi-Flex feature[4], users can interact with up to three apps simultaneously on the expansive 7.95-inch inner screen. Whether it is planning trips, summarizing meeting notes, or collaborating via live video calls with Gemini Live, the HONOR Magic V5 redefines productivity on the go.
